Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Zibei Zhike granules in the treatment of cough after radical resection of lung cancer. Methods A randomized, parallel controlled clinical study was conducted. A total of 140 lung cancer patients with cough after radical resection were randomly divided into two groups in a ratio of 1∶1. Patients in control group were treated with codeine phosphate tablets, and those in treatment group were given Zibei Zhike granules. The cough scores of the two groups before and after treatment were observed and the efficacy was evaluated. Results The cough symptom score in the two groups after treatment was lower than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate was 87.14% in the control group, and 84.28% in the treatment group, with no statistical significance between the two groups (P>0.05). Yet, no significant difference was observed in quality of life scores between the two groups, including LCQ total score, physiological score, psychological score and social score (P>0.05).Conclusion Zibei Zhike granules had good clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of cough after radical resection of lung cancer.
